Aleppo, Syria’s largest city which has been broken into war since 2011 and rebel groups have been holding neighborhoods for the years in the east of the city.

The rebel groups that are operating in the city are so-called moderate factions such as the Free Syrian Army and an Islamic State group known as Jabhat-al-Nusra.

The Syrian government has said that its wining this battle and has called all residents bearing weapons to surrender their arms & ammunitions.

The officials of Russia and Syria has announced that the armed forces of both countries, Syrian and Russian forces are opening corridors for the welfare of humans stuck in the city of Aleppo to rescue them. The Syrian army also announced that they have encircled the city and they have cut off the route for rebel’s supply.

Russian Ministry of Defense said that they are opening three corridors in the initial stage and providing food items and medical aid to civilians and to those rebels who decided to surrender. In a statement Ministry said that they would be alerting people about the location of the routes through leaflets, text messages and loudspeaker alert.

However, forth corridor would also be established in north of Aleppo, so the rebellions can leave the city. The Syrian Arab News Agency reported that Aleppo Gov. Mohammad Olabi has also announced the opening of three corridors in order to rescue people. They added that he did not share anything about fourth corridor.

The Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu while speaking to reporters said that the joint relief operation is being carried out to ensure the safety of the people of Aleppo where an intense situation occurred. He added that every time they ask militants to have friendly relations they start to shell villages, attack the positions of government troops.

The United Nations has also warned that this potential humanitarian disaster as government troops are being backed by Russian air and had tightened grip on the city, where it says an estimate of 200,000 to 300,000 people live.
