A fast moving dumper hit a bike and an auto rickshaw near Orange Line Train in which 12-year boy and 4 others died on the spot, whereas a woman and 5 others have been injured and among them 2 are in critical situation.
The accident took place on the route of Orange Line Train in Daroga Wala, an area in limit of the Baghanban Pura Police Station. The deceased include a father and his son, when the dead bodies were taken to the home. Everyone started yelling and crying.
It has been reported that Sheikh Farooq from Iqbal Town was going to his Uncle’s place along his two sons, when a dumper full of stones hit them. During this Shabbir and his 12-year-old son Abdullah and his servant died on the spot.
The deceased were residents of Iqbal Town and Momin Pura. Their family members protested on the road by firing the tire and blocked the roads for traffic. The protesters asked for quick arresting of the driver.
Police arrested the dumper’s driver and filed a case in the presence of deceased’s cousin. The police stated that an investigation has been started and once the investigation is completed, all the aspects will be shared.
CM Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the accident. He asked police and the administration to provide him complete report and ordered to cure the injured at their best.
LDA spokesman said that the dumper has not any link to Orange Line Train. It was working under Ramzan & Company where it was used to dump out mud from un-constructed plaza.
