Anderson the premium fast bowler who has done exceptionally well for England in the last few years has been recalled in the English side after a 75 run defeat in the first of the four test match series.
Anderson is the leading wicket taker for England in tests and was the number 1 test bowler for a long time until Yasir Shah the Pakistan leg spinner snatched the spot with his tremendous bowling on Sunday.
It was not James Anderson only, who makes his way back to the English squad, Adil Rashid the leg spinner and Ben Stokes the useful all-rounder has also gotten a call up in the 14 man squad for the second test against Pakistan at the Old Trafford starting from 22nd July.
The changes were made after Misbah lead Pakistan beats England after the superb spin bowling show by Yasir Shah in both the innings of the Lords test and who also claimed his first man of the match award since his debut.
Anderson, who had been suffering from the Shoulder injury and Ben Stokes, who was out of the team due to a knee surgery has both passed the fitness test and that’s the reason they have found themselves back in the national side.
Anderson and Stokes have both been playing the county championship match between Lancashire and Durham that definitely helped them prove their fitness at Southport, near Liverpool.
Anderson could be lethal with his unplayable swing fast bowling at the Old Trafford while Ben Stokes will provide a big assistance to both the English batsmen and the bowlers as well, just to be noted that Ben Stokes was more than exceptional in the series against South Africa few months ago.
Meanwhile, Adil Rashid could come up as a replacement of Moeen Ali, who was not treated well by the Pakistani batsmen specially Misbah in the lords test resulting him get only two wickets and going for a plenty of runs thinking England go for a leg spinner in the shape of Adil Rashid who can bat as well, proving him a handy asset.
