Watch Last Kalam of Amjad Sabri Qawal

Amjad Sabri, the last voice of the “Sabri Brothers” is no more within us. The sad incident occurred yesterday, when 2 terrorist on a bike shot at Sabri, while he was in his car and near the Liaqatabad fly over.

Amjad Sabri was traveling with one other person and as soon as his car reached near the Liaqatabad fly over, two gunmen on a motorcycle came across him and opened 5 fires on him, using a 30-bore pistol.

According to the other men who was accompanying Amjad Sabri in his car and also got injured, “Sabri screamed at the attacker and said why are you killing me, I have the little kids”. But, the attackers didn’t show any sympathies and ran away after firing at Sabri.

According to the other men who was accompanying Amjad Sabri in his car and also got injured, “Sabri screamed at the attacker and said why are you killing me, I have the little kids”. But, the attackers didn’t show any sympathies and ran away after firing at Sabri.

Before Sabri shot dead, he participated in the Sehri transmission on a TV channel called “Samaa TV” where he read the last kalam of his life. It was really heart touching and all the participants were witnessed with wet eyes during that kalam.

It seems like as if Sabri was already aware that what is going to happen in the next few hours. He was the son of famous Qawal Farid Sabri, whose family is known for its great contribution towards the mystic poetry and Sufi art in the subcontinent. Amjad Sabri has left 2 wives, 4 daughters, and 2 sons in grief.

According to one of the Amjad Sabri’s uncles, Sabri was receiving death threats for some time and he had asked Sabri to come to London and spend Ramzan there.

It is being said that with the death of Amjad Sabri, a golden era of Qawali and Sufi music has ended in the country.
