Arthur Canon, the author of the book “The Lost World” was inspired by the Southeast Venezuela’s Table Mountains. A region of the dark jungle and the rolling grassland that is dominated by the gigantic sandstone Table Mountains recognized as “Tepuys”. It’s a 6 days classic trek to reach the summit of the Mount Roraima that is a maze of the babbling streams and blackened rock harbouring the unique plants such as the very rare carnivorous species. And then there is the world’s highest waterfall that plunges approximately 1,000m, known as the “Angle Falls”. To explore it properly, you need to have a minimum of 15 days.
